In a funk.

Anyway I am in a bit of funk and have been coming up with new rules to live by to get me out of it.

Rule #1: Sweats and a t-shirt (especially one of Mark's t-shirt) should never leave the house on me.
Rule #2: A pony tail is not a hairstyle for everyday of the week.
Rule #3: Some form of make up must be applied every day. I am to old and have to many lines and blemishes to go natural.
Rule #3: Pajamas should not be worn to take the garbage out. The neighbors should not be subjected the Jaguar print PJ's, even if they are really comfy.
Rule #4: Cookies are not for breakfast and no lying to the the girls that Zeppy ate their cookies.
Rule #5: Running is fun. A working ipod is not an absolute must to work out.
Rule #6: Pancakes are not an acceptable dinner more than once a week.
Rule #7: Water is more important than a 44 ounce Diet Dr. Pepper. (this is going be the toughest one)
Rule # 8: The dishes are not optional.
Rule #9: Crafts are fun.
Rule # 10: It is not to cold to finish painting my wet bar.
Rule #11: Baking cookies and cakes do not need to be done every day. If I worked at a bakery this would be fine because I could sell them or give them away instead of eating them all my self.
Rule #12: "In just a minute" should not mean "in an hour or so". My poor girls.
Rule # 13: No blogging in PJ's, if I have time to blog, I have time to get dressed.
Rule # 14: The Wii Fit is not the enemy.
Rule # 15: Go get a pedicure.

I am sure there will be more rules to come but, I feel better already. Thanks for listening to my ramblings. If there is a rule of your own you would like to add please let me know, I would love to hear them.

Women vs. Men

Talking between men and women never solves anything. Where we think, they feel. They are creatures of the heart.

My Gift.

So, I have been thinking a lot lately about blessing from my Father in Heaven. Each day I look at my daughters and husband and wonder how I am became so blessed. So since today is Miss Adelie's first birthday (yes Mark, technically her second) I thought I would tell you a little about her.
She arrived in the middle of the night, to all of our surprise. She was instantly the favorite new dolly of her sisters.
She has always just wanted to be one of the girls eventhough, she lacked any of the ability.
At first, Anna was her favorite. I think Anna got the first smile and boy, could and can Anna make her laugh.

Over the course of the year she has done all the normal baby accomplishment and last night took three whole unassisted steps. Anna walked at 10 months and Emma walked around her birthday, so Addie is right instep.
Lately, I look at Addie and marvel at how she got here. It is hard to explain but, I look at my older girls and they just belong. I look at Adelie and she is such a special gift. I hate being pregnant and have postpartum pretty fierce so I just marvel at how I ever decided to have a third child. She surprises me and makes me smile. My testimony grows becuase of her. She is our little missionary, so I need to be able to teach her and help her grow in the gospel.
Anyway, I cannot believe it has been a year already. What a joy.

So Addie, kick back and enjoy a cold one, its your birthday, you have every right.

Also, we take fitness very serious around here. Addie's one year leave from excercising is over get to work. Thank goodness for the Wii.

Addie is so cute, she climbs on the Wii fit board every chance she gets and loves to shake her hips with daddy when he is doing the Hula Hoop.

"Let's have a little discussion."

Emma and her cousin Jessica, set up this little meeting place. Sat down and said "lets have a little discussion."
The problem with these two, they both love to talk and be the boss so this is how the discussion went. Really they are just being silly.

New Year's Resolution

Last night, I crawled into bed about an hour after Mark had gone to bed. He promptly climbed out of bed. When he came back to bed a few minutes later he had a cookie in his hand.
I asked him "What are doing?"
He shoved to cookie in his mouth and said "Don't tell the Wii Fit."

My Utes!

I am willing to share my Utes with any of you that have lost your way.
Go UTES!

Well done gentlemen!

a little reminising.

Date October 27, 2004
(An Email sent to my dear friend Candy, Candy was still single at the time and Emma was 16 months old.)
So just to share why being single and going to work everyday is a good thing.
The day from hell started at 2 am this morning. Emma had previously decided, sleeping in her crib was boring but to dive out of it head first would be a good idea. So Mark and I got her a big girl bed. How fun, no not really. At the afore mention 2 am she decides she has had
enough of the new bed and begins pounding on her door screaming. So I get up to get her bring in bed with us and she falls right back asleep. So I let her sleep there for about a half hour and then return her to her room, only to have her instantly wake up screaming at the top of
her lungs. So I decide I do not have the energy to let her cry, I let her sleep with us. Fine, except for the fact that Mark has to be up at 6:00 to go on a business trip which promptly wakes Emma up for the morning. AHHH. So we're up, myself getting about 4 hours of sleep (which for a pregnant lady is not nearly enough).
I then go to change her diaper and she has had a blow out all over the place. I get that cleaned up and then go into the office to check my email and notice that the cat has thrown up on the carpet and pooped in one of Emma's dresser drawers, which we took out of her room because
she has also figured out how to pull them completely out of the dresser. So I am cleaning up throw up and poop and start dry heaving then I begin to throw up. This mind you is all before 9 am.
Now Emma hates her new bed and won't take a nap so I have a cranky little girl and no husband to rescue me or her.
(I just like to complain, We will survive, but isn't motherhood fun)
